At Moma with friends

Check it out!!!

Snowy Day

A snowy day in New York can mean alot of things. Snow fights, catching up on sleep, or drinking warm coco while watching Hulu. From my apartment window I have a snow covered view of the parking lot belonging to my building.  It's pretty cool.

If I had a car, or the ability to drive, I would be more concerned about the snow, digging the car out, or what ever it is that car drivers worry about when it snows.  As the only male child with older parents, in a few hours I will be heading over to my parents house (about 20 blocks away) to shovel them out of the snow.  I called ahead of time and I told my mom I expect a well cooked meal when I arrive.

Speaking of food . . . my good friend Kris, who runs 500 Tasty Sandwiches recently posted my mom's recipe for Causa.  It's this Peruvian dish that my aunt use to make me.  It's yummy!!!  Check out this page for details.

As for art... I have been working on a few things.  Playing around in the studio is something I almost never get to do. I am usually working on something whether it's a project or a commission, but these past few weeks have been different.  Here are some image from the studio.

Art auction at Haunch of Venison

After a fun night at Haunch of Venison where my piece was up for auction to benefit Time In, I am exhausted. I forget how much fun and energy is needed to smile, meet, and greet total strangers. Considering I'm still sick and trying to get over this cold I like to think I did my best. The piece below was up for auction and it belongs to someone who's panel number was 835.

The view

Say what you want about Queens but my place in Sunnyside has a pretty view that I'd like to share.

New Year, New Post, New Art

After a pretty degrading NYE I have been slowly recovering and picking up the pieces of my liver and dignity.  With that said, I wanted to share the image of my piece for the Patron/NYFA Art Project which has officially been on ebay for 1 day.  Take a look:

image info: Title: Superman's Friends, Size: 20 x 22 inches,
Materials: Ink, paper ninja star, CD, Metrocards, found and stolen objects on canvas
Please bid on my piece which, if your lucky, might be sold at a really affordable price!  Click here
